Trekking and day trips

Great trip of the Langhe: a 43 km route for a tour in the Langhe district along the most arduous and wild crests. This trip is also suggested for mountain bikes. The association “Terre Alte” (www.terrealte.cn.it) organizes over the four seasons guided visits and literary tours to the districts where the 20th century writers Beppe Fenoglio and Cesare Pavese were born and used to live.

Deserta Langarum (www.desertalangarum.org): four 4 to 10 km long ring tracks also accessible by mountain bike or horse.

Tourism by Bike and by Motorbike

The most difficult climbs of the champions (www.langheroero.it/itinerari/le-salite-dei-campioni): a highly technical track with extremely demanding climbs, which twists and turns by stages named after the legendary heroes of cycling.

Parks

PARCO SAFARI DELLE LANGHE (Safari Park of the Langhe) at Murazzano (www.parcosafari.it): over 70 hectares of uncontaminated natural environment in which visitors can see the animals collected in it, live. The safari area is accessible by car.

 

“ISOLA VERDE” ADVENTURE PARC at Castagnito (www.parcoavventura.it):

adventure itinerary with suspension bridges between the trees. Picninc area equipped with tables and barbecues (to hire) and recreation ground for children.

 

RISERVA NATURALE DELLE SORGENTI DEL BELBO (Natural Reserve of the Belbo Springs): the springs of the torrent Belbo are the only natural water source of the Langhe’s high grounds, and are renowned for the high botanical and naturalistic value of the area (which collects 22 different species of orchids).

NATIONAL PARK OF THE “GRAN PARADISO”: situated between the regions of Piedmont and Aosta Valley, it is the most ancient Italian national park, and is considered one of the 30 most beautiful and attractive natural parks of the world.

 

SKI RUNS: surrounded by the Alps, the Piedmont region offers a lot of well-equipped and often interlinked ski resorts (www.skiinfo.it/piemonte).

 

SEA RESORTS: The neighbouring region of Liguria offers at one hours’ drive all the famous and charming sea resorts of the Riviera.
